In the picturesque tourist utopia of Cerulean County, love abounds! The stories of six young adults who all grew up there intertwine in this romance epic, What Happens in Cerulean County…

 

Calvin Orrick is a fresh big city gay who is in a very precarious social and moral predicament: he’s about to begin his second summer living in the largest queer mecca of the Midwest, but his parents’ business where he grew up – a campground called "The Cerulean Nature Reserve and Resort,” located in the middle of bum**** nowhere (aka Cerulean County) – is in an economic crisis, and apparently the only thing that can save it is Calvin and his award-winning corporate PR skills (that they paid for, as they remind him frequently). Should Calvin stay, or should he go..?

 

Marcus Marzoni was born in Cerulean County, currently lives in Cerulean County (with his parents still, no less), and is about to turn 26, the age where he will most likely be stuck forever and eventually die doing what he's doing now: managing both halves of his parent’s farm-to-table restaurant, Marzoni’s, a historically thriving operation that, like the rest of the county, has seen unprecedented slowdown in recent years. However, upon the arrival of a mysterious yet familiar stranger, as the summer progresses, Marcus begins to feel less and less trapped…

 

The tales of one WLW relationship and one MLW relationship are also interwoven with Calvin & Marcus’, featuring Calvin’s sister Jordan, Marcus’s best friend Kayla and brother Devon, and Jordan’s best friend Nelly. Over the course of an entire summer relationships will develop, drama will unfold, and the age-old question will be answered…
